No way, I look at my last blog posting date and ashamedly it
reads over two months ago, uh oh! This last posting rendezvous reflects
somewhat upon my day to day working life balance and also a serious lack of
inspiration within the style stakes. As much as I adore the summer, sunshine,
freedom and heat. I honestly do find myself deficient in the sense of sartorial talking’s, attire
desire and all good things you like to share and chat over when you have a
blog. It may have taken many summers to accept, but it’s the Autumn Winter style
gods that get my inspirational brain cells flowing. Rustic colours and warmth.
So, although Autumn and Winter here in the UKtends to mean more soggy footed, dark days as opposed to thosecrisp fresh blessings, the good news is(for me and maybe you too) that we have
arrived at the season of layers, and this, yes this makes me rather h.a.p.p.y. Here is some Faux Fur inspiration - never far from my heart.
For now, I get a sneaky feeling you will be seeing a return
of action here on Mad About The Girl, but first we have to batten down
those hatches as I read there’s a storm coming.
Amidst these summer months when we’re enjoying the benefit
of lesser layers unavoidably the AW Lookbooks emerge onto our tables and
screens. I don’t know about you, but I do
find myself with the odd wandering cosy thought of Autumn, only to be fuelled
by such like Fall collections. Too soon I try to tell myself, nevertheless we all
like a glimmer of what sartorial pickings are coming our way?
There are some pretty remarkable Lookbooks and collections ahead
for the Autumn and Winter 13 season. This Etoile Isabel Marant campaign consisting of oversize
sweaters, capes, polka dot trousers and romantic blouses is defiantly whetting the appetite for those chillier days...but for now that’s all semi imaginary and I shall be holding onto every last
lingering moment of our British Summer Time.
I’m not really too sure what happened to the month of June, talk
about time flies....and July is just round the corner!
July is a month I
always look upon excitedly...maybe actually because my birthday alongside a few
special other occasions arise. With last year’s exceptional memories of
R&R at the Cowshed Spa within The St Moritz Hotel plus sunshine filled fun at the
amazing Port Eliot Festival, 2012 is going to be a tough year to beat...so we
shall see what fun we can conjure up.
Not one to need an excuse for a little wish list making up...
here’s what I’m searching for right now.
A little London inspired? Yes, something tells me a break to
the city is on the cards.
